Ultra smooth acoustic plaster

The PLUS+ acoustic plaster finish can be applied on virtually any surface including straight and curved walls, dramatic angles and arching domes offering a more flexible, discreet alternative to traditional acoustic solutions, such as suspended ceilings.

An ultra smooth, fine grain super white finish available to suit design requirements.

  • Fire safety classification
    Class A Fire Testing as per the ISO EN 13501 2007: A2s1d0
  • Chemical testing
    As per the Protocol for Chemical and Sensory Testing of Building Materials as defined by the Finnish Emission Classification of Building Materials: VOC: 0,014 mg/m²h / Formaldehyde: 0,0044 mg/m²h
  • Humidity testing
    No visible changes when exposed to relative humidities of 80% and 100% in 40 degrees celsius.
  • Resistance to growth of mold
    At at relative humidity below 70% there is no growth.
  • Exposure to UV-Light
    No visible change when exposed to 1000 hours of UV-Light
  • Anti-static
    No static electrical charges
  • Cleaning and repair
    Surface dust and dirt can be vacuumed off using a soft brush attachment or
    blown off using pressurised air. Stains that have penetrated the surface and cannot be removed by the previous actions can be removed by applying a thin layer of plaster onto the embedded stain.

    20mm / 25mm / 40mm.
    Other thicknesses are available on request.

1 Traditional installation

Fibreglass Board and Fade applied to a plasterboard, concrete or timber substrate. The fibreglass board is attached to a substrate with approved adhesives or mechanically fixed with special washers.

2 Previously painted surfaces

The substrate is tested for bond strength and cleaned. Alternatively if paint is flaking the mechanical fixings should be used. The fibreglass board is attached to the painted substrate with the approved adhesive and additionally secured with a minimal amount of special washers if required.

3 Plaster directly to grid

The fibreglass board is attached to a MF metal drywall grid system or similar with the special washers.*

In all installations the fibreglass board is then sprayed with the Fade Acoustical Plaster system and troweled nicely.
Once dry the system can be sanded to achieve the desired finish.

*disclaimer:
In the event that the building is not airtight, the air will circulate through the open pored acoustical plaster system leaving heavy localized dust deposits.
